(1) We got two sighting calls, one of which is pretty promising. Last night’s call didn’t have much detail about the dog’s appearance (even after following up), and it was pretty far outside of Mari’s radius (beyond the outliers we’ve had), so it’s tough to tell. Theoretically it could be her. It could also be a totally different dog. I forwarded the sighting info to the local animal control officer. Whoever this dog is, I hope it gets picked up soon! The ACO of this town is *awesome* so I’m hopeful. But we got another call today that was promising both regarding the dog’s appearance and location. The sighting is consistent with areas Mari’s visited in the past, and the dog was the right size & coloring, so our fingers are crossed. Now to follow up with our various people about what to do…
(2) I got this note from the Marisol’s Army member who reached out to us when her neighbor’s dog, Tito, went missing:
“Tito the shar pei is home safe and sound. They found him by Cedar Park in Melrose after about 6 days – he had some arthritis in his hind leg and was thin without food, but otherwise healthy. Carol said that she got several sighting calls from Marisol’s Army which helped greatly in narrowing down where to look for Tito and thanks everyone!”
Many thanks for all of your help! You guys keep helping bring dogs home. You hear that, Ms. Marisol Fluffypants? It’s your turn!
