Feeling kind of wiped today, so a short update this time — first of all, thank you for all of your continued support and offers of help! We really appreciate everything you’re doing and that you’re offering to take on even more. We feel really lucky to have so many people in our corner rooting for Marisol’s return.
I’ve been talking to our dog rescuing experts about things like feeding stations and tracking. We have three go to people right now, all of whom have years of experience rescuing wandering dogs like Marisol, but they come at it from different angles and will at times defer to each other’s expertise, so we’ve been piecing together next steps.
The consensus right now is that feeding stations are a shot in the dark until we have more information, and it’s worth trying to confirm/eliminate some of our data points with a tracker so that we can narrow our focus. The recommendation is still NOT to attempt to follow Mari’s path because we don’t want to bump her out of any pattern she may have established. Instead we’ll go to areas where sightings and tracks have been reported from the past two weeks to see if we can confirm some of them.
We’ve set a time to do this over the weekend, once the storm passes. Hopefully Mari has a good spot to hunker down and stay warm!

Mari, Queen of the Fells

Hi there,
Rob Thomas of Matchbox Twenty and his wife have a sato and recently posted on Twitter about Pets Alive so I sent them a tweet about Marisol asking them to RT it and they did! http://twitter.com/#!/sidewalkangels/status/28317178621071360
I know it’s a long shot, but maybe it’ll get the word spread further.
Thinking of you guys and Marisol every day and hoping for the happiest of endings.

You take care of yourself Anindita. You & Andrew show amazing grace under pressure. Thank you for continuing to share yours and Marisol’s story with us. Will continue to visualize Marisol safe, warm, and well-fed until the pros can get out there after the snow.
What Jane says (post that is above) exactly!!
Anindita, thank you for sharing your story. I’ve been visiting your website ever since I read about Marisol on Boston.com. Your posts make me both smile and tear up when I read one. I’ve been sharing your website link on my Facebook page and hope every single day that Marisol will be found soon. I also hug my yellow lab that much tighter when time I see her (and when she lets me). Major prayers coming from Boston for you, Andrew, and Marisol.
Stay strong. Have faith. Keep loving.
Very sweet picture. (Mari’s dad — with sunglasses — does indeed look rather like David Tennant.)
Just noticed posted that there was a possible sighting on 1/19. This is wonderful news!!!
Here’s hoping that the weekend brings you some good intel!
Glad to see the possible sighting. Sending warm thoughts to Mari.
