We got this note in the comments today:
I volunteer at Buddy Dog Humane Society in Sudbury. A dog that we adopted out a few days ago has slipped her collar and gotten away from her new owner in Jamaica Plain. She is also a sato, and like Marisol, has been very good at keeping away from those trying to find her. She has been sighted as late as this morning. Would you consider posting her photo and info, in the hope that Marisol’s army would keep an eye out for her too?
So sad! Here’s the info from Craigslist:
Medium sized, black with tan markings, gray on muzzle. Looks like a small lab mix. Recently had her tail amputated, so it is shorter than usual. Spayed female. Her name is “Maya” but she might not respond to it. She was adopted only a few days ago and she slipped out of her collar.
This dog is VERY SHY. If you see her, please call us but DO NOT CHASE HER.

We are trying to locate Maya, so if you see her, please let us know WHERE she is and WHEN you saw her. Thank you so much for your help!

Come on, satos. You’re so smart — find someone who will help you!

Thank you so very much!
just shared with my friends. Let’s hope for Maya and also that the mild temps will bring Marisol out and finally home!!!
These Sato’s they are pretty smart dogs!!!! I am sure she will come home as Mari will.
Good News! Maya the sato has been found! Boston Animal control picked her up and her owner is getting her fitted for a harness as I type.
Thank you to all for helping and caring! The good sato vibes are out there now for Marisol –
So happy to hear!
Wonderful to hear that Maya has been found. Now we need to hear that Marisol and Daisy are home.
YAY! Welcome home, Maya. I’ve got a Martingale collar as recommended by the ARL on my new dog. Impossible to slip out of. Here’s to Marisol coming home, too
