We had a sighting!
The challenge right now is trying to figure out where to set the feeding station so that Ms. Mari can find it but not Mr. Coyote. That’s what’s going on behind the scenes.
The other thing is outreach — a few people have sent us notes and called about lawn signs, and I saw that someone had suggested Marisol t-shirts, which is super generous and we really appreciate all of the support! We’re out of lawn signs, actually, and are trying to figure out if we should print more or focus on other sorts of outreach.
Two immediate things I wanted to highlight: a couple of people have mentioned putting a flyer in their car, which is terrific if you’re willing. One of Mari’s Army had one in her car, and the parking attendant at her office’s garage asked for one so he could post it in his booth. How awesome is that? He updates the sign with the latest sightings, too! So car signs can get a lot of eyes. The other thing is that we have mini-flyers that we carry around. They’re business card sized, so people can tuck them into their wallets. We’ve given some out at the Fells and when we’re scoping out areas where Mari’s been seen so that people know to keep an eye out, not to chase or call her, and to contact us right away if they see her. They’ve been helpful to have on hand.
